Pleasanton PD arrest four for refusal to comply

Pleasanton Police arrested four individuals on Wednesday morning after all refused to comply with officers' commands following a traffic stop for a minor infraction. During the stop, officers discovered drugs on the driver leading to additional charges.

Pleasanton Police Officer Robert Villa conducted a minor traffic stop in the 1300 block of Second St. at 9 a.m. and noticed the driver reaching into the center console and other parts of the vehicle.

Despite multiple requests to show his hands and exit the vehicle, police said the driver refused to comply, rolled up the window and allegedly passed items to other passengers.

According to police, after several unsuccessful attempts by officers to get all the occupants to exit the vehicle, police breached the driver's side window to safely remove all individuals.

The driver, Jesus Arguijo, 23, of Jourdanton, was charged with possession of multiple controlled substances and is facing charges of interfering with public duties, possession of marijuana, tampering with evidence, prohibited substance in a correctional facility, and two counts of manufacturing or delivery of controlled substances.

The three passengers all from Pleasanton, Juan Bosquez, 47, Raul Teran, 30 and Angelica Gutierrez, 37, are facing charges of interfering with public duties.
