CHICAGO -- An alleged drunk driver rear-ended an Illinois Department of Transportation minuteman truck on the Dan Ryan Expressway early Sunday morning, according to Illinois State Police.
ISP says troopers responded to the crash on southbound I-94 at 26th Street just after 3 a.m., a preliminary investigation indicating that an IDOT minuteman truck was conducting traffic with emergency lights activated when it was hit in the rear by a vehicle.
No injuries were reported, according to ISP, and the driver of the vehicle that hit the IDOT minuteman truck was issued citations for driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed to avoid and accident, and Scott's Law, known as the "Move Over" Law.
