The Healthcare Trustees of New York State (HTNYS) board of governors has elected Anthony Cancellieri to its board. The organization works to strengthen nonprofit and public healthcare facilities. Cancellieri, a new member, was elected to serve a three-year term.
Cancellieri, of Rockville Centre, serves on Mount Sinai South Nassau's board of trustees. He is also a member of Mount Sinai Health system's boards of trustees and an associate member of the board of directors of the Seaver Autism Center for Research and Treatment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Cancellieri is a former vice president of Park Strategies, a lobbying and business development firm.
The HTNYS board of governors provides strategic guidance to direct the organization's activities and programs aimed at strengthening New York's healthcare system through improved leadership and involvement by healthcare trustees.
The board also elected four healthcare leaders from across the state to serve second one-year terms. Another new member was elected to serve a three-year term, like Cancellieri.
HTNYS is governed by a board of trustees from healthcare facilities across the state and is a division of the Healthcare Association of New York State.
In 2018, Cancellieri and his wife MaryLou co-founded RVC Blue Speaks, Inc., a grassroots nonprofit supporting those with autism spectrum disorder. The group has raised more than $500,000 to support local autism charities and gifted scholarships to deserving local students.
