CLEMSON -- No. 12 seed Clemson football will play on TNT for the first time this season against No. 5 seed Texas in the first round of the CFP.
The Longhorns (11-2) will host the Tigers (10-3) on Saturday (4 p.m. ET, TNT) at Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium. The winner advances to play No. 4 seed Arizona State, the Big 12 champion, in the Peach Bowl at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Jan. 1 (1 p.m. ET, ESPN).
This will be the first matchup between Clemson and Texas, and this will be one of two CFP games aired on TNT. ESPN agreed to a five-year sublicensing agreement with TNT for the network to air two first-round games in 2024 and 2025, then it will expand to two first-round matchups and two quarterfinals beginning in 2026.
Here's what to know about the announcers calling Clemson vs. Texas:
Clemson vs. Texas will be broadcast nationally on TNT. Dave Pasch and Dusty Dvoracek will call the game from the booth at Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium, with Taylor McGregor and Laura Rutledge reporting from the sidelines. All are employed by ESPN.
Pasch, Dvoracek and McGregor only announced one game for Clemson this season: Week 7 against Wake Forest. This will be Rutledge's first Clemson game of the season.
The game can be streamed on FUBO, which offers a free trial to new subscribers, or with other streaming services that carry TNT, like Max.
Texas has been one of the best teams in the country despite losing in the SEC championship game. Its only two losses are to Georgia, which beat Clemson in Week 1. Backed by more than 100,000 fans, the Longhorns will beat Clemson and advance to the second round of the CFP. Clemson is 0-2 against SEC teams this season, too.
