Fergie has thanked firefighters for helping to save her home amid the Los Angeles wildfires.

The 49-year-old singer - who is best known for starring in the Black Eyed Peas - has expressed her gratitude to firefighters via a post on social media.

Fergie - who has a home in the Brentwood neighbourhood in Los Angeles - says in an Instagram video: "Hey, I just wanna say thank you so much to all the firefighters out there. Thank you so much. My house was saved.

"I couldn't be more grateful. Thank you for all your hard work, working around the clock, fire departments, sheriffs departments, thank you to everyone."

The video featured on the official Instagram account of the Orange County Firefighters.

The post was captioned: "Thank you @fergiefor visiting Base Camp today and showing gratitude to the thousands of first responders on the #lafires. (sic)"

A number of well-known celebrities have already lost their homes amid the wildfires, including Paris Hilton, Milo Ventimiglia, Mel Gibson, Miles Teller, and Billy Crystal.

Billy recently revealed that he's praying for the "safety of the firefighters and first responders".

In a statement given to PEOPLE, the 76-year-old comedy star said: "Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing. We ache for our friends and neighbours who have also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy."

Billy and his wife Janice actually raised their two daughters - Jennifer and Lindsay - in the home that's now been burned to the ground.

He shared: "Janice and I lived in our home since 1979.

"We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can't be taken away.

"We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this."
