First reactions from Alex Anzalone, Amik Robertson after Lions win NFC North

DETROIT - The Lions had contributions throughout the lineup to top the Vikings and win the NFC North title on Sunday night.

Three of those stars, linebacker Alex Anzalone, cornerback Amik Robertson and running back Jahmyr Gibbs, received game balls from NBC as players of the game.

They met with sideline reporter Melissa Stark after Detroit's 31-9 win at Ford Field.

Robertson, signed in the offseason, was impactful throughout. He recorded five tackles but more importantly held up well against Vikings star wide receiver Justin Jefferson, an old foe from his high school days in Louisiana.

He was asked about the key to his strong game against arguably the NFL's top wide receiver.

"Just being me. Detroit gave me a chance to come in and show what I can do," he said. "I just wanted to come out here and show them that I was the man for the job. This is an unbelievable feeling. We got some great fans, some great coaches and some unbelievable teammates. This is an unreal feeling."

Anzalone returned after missing six games with a broken forearm and made a noticeable difference. The team captain recorded 7 tackles and provided an emotional lift to Detroit's injury-plagued defense.

He felt the defense played more to its potential vs. Sam Darnold and the Vikings, who were kept out of the end zone despite repeated chances deep in Lions' territory.

"Energy, guys playing together. Just doing their job," he said. "The last few weeks we just haven't been playing clean football and tonight we put it together. And when guys fly around, they make plays."

Detroit has secured the NFC's only bye. It will host the lowest-seeded team remaining after Wild Card weekend.
