At a court hearing on Thursday, Mayor Shaunna O'Connell's domestic violence court case was continued without a finding.
Attleboro District Court Judge Courtney Linnehan dismissed O'Connell's assault and battery with a dangerous weapon charge and ruled that the assault and battery on a household member charge would be continued without a finding.
O'Connell will be subject to administrative probation for six months.

A spokesperson for the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe says that the tribe is constructing a welcome center at the site of its long-stalled First Light casino project in East Taunton.
"Our new welcome center will be a place to learn about our history, connect with our culture, and see what's next for our reservation lands," the spokesperson, Steven Peters, said in a written statement.

After much anticipation, Nytia's Soul Kitchen recently celebrated its opening at 73 Main St. in downtown Taunton.
"The support I've gotten has been overwhelming. Everyone's been waiting, so that anticipation was already there. Now, it's full-fledged," owner Ty Moore said.
Moore said she feels blessed by the level of encouragement she's received from the city and the amount of praise from customers who have patronized her Southern soul food restaurant since it opened.
