Those accepted into the program will apply for open CNA positions at the Comprehensive Care Center upon successful completion of the program and passage of the state CNA certification examination held at the conclusion of the course.

Students must attend three mandatory days of classes each week of the program for eight weeks, completing 160 hours of theory and clinical education.

During on-site classroom training, students learn all aspects of patient care via lectures and hands-on demonstrations. Clinical training provided, also gives students the opportunity to offer care directly to residents in the facility.

Applications are available at www.lompocvmc.com under the "Careers" heading, and search for "Nurse Assistant Training Program" (NATP).

Interviews are tentatively scheduled for Jan. 22 through Feb. 3.
