Is OVH's Account Transfer Policy an Overlooked Privacy Issue?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to bring up an issue I've encountered with OVH's account transfer process that has left me feeling trapped and concerned about privacy. Recently, I needed to transfer ownership of my OVH account due to a change in circumstances. However, I was informed that while my personal information like payment details and address would be replaced upon transfer, all invoices and support tickets -- including those containing private information like my name, company name, and address -- would remain accessible to the new owner.

To me, this feels like a significant breach of privacy. While I understand that contracts and commitments aren't something you can easily walk away from, the fact that OVH gives no option to redact or anonymize sensitive data during a transfer feels inherently anti-consumer. It leaves customers like me with no way to transfer ownership without exposing private information to a third party.

Here's where I'm struggling:

I'd love to hear what others think about this situation. Have you faced similar issues with OVH or other providers? Are there better ways to approach this, or am I missing something?

Looking forward to your thoughts and advice!
