A search and rescue team found a man dead near the Third Flatiron Wednesday afternoon near Boulder, according to a press release from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.
Members of the Boulder Emergency Squad volunteer search and rescue team used a drone to find the man around 12:10 p.m., according to the release. Members of the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group climbed to the spot and brought the man's body to a waiting Boulder County Coroner investigator.
The recovery took eight and a half hours, according to the release.
The Boulder County Coroner's Office is expected to release the man's identity after notifying his next of kin.
