GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WLOX) - George County deputies arrested 45-year-old Ronnie Lee Moye after he allegedly struck an unmarked sheriff's vehicle, and led deputies on a chase while driving a motorcycle Saturday night.

According to deputies, they tried to stop Moye for speeding and not having a license plate near Highway 98 and Highway 63.

Officers say Moye drove off, with speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour, and a pursuit began in the northbound lanes of Highway 63.

Officers say Moye then slowed down and turned into a median crossover, but the motorcycle driver allegedly continued northbound in the southbound lanes of Highway 63.

Officers say Moye then tried to cross back over the median and struck a George County Sheriff's Office vehicle. The impact caused damage to the driver's side.

According to the sheriff's department, Moye tried to take off running after the crash but was detained. Officers say he had several grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia in his possession.

Moye is charged with felony fleeing, felony malicious mischief, and felony possession of a controlled substance resisting arrest.

At the time of the incident, Moye was on probation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections for a prior felony charge. He also had four warrants with the George County Sheriff's Office and one with the Lucedale Police Department.
