Briar Cliff announces new scholarship programs

SIOUX CITY -- Briar Cliff University has announced two new scholarships programs that offers students free or reduced priced tuition.

The new programs are called "The Iowa Commitment" and the "Catholic Connection Scholarship."

"At Briar Cliff, our mission extends beyond education; we cultivate a sense of purpose and faith that empowers students to lead meaningful lives," said Matthew Draud, President of Briar Cliff University. "These scholarships embody our commitment to creating opportunities that transform lives and strengthen communities."

The Iowa Commitment scholarship provides free tuition for full-Pell Grant eligible students from Iowa. The scholarship also covers all mandatory undergraduate fees, according to a news release.

To apply, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and include Briar Cliff University's FAFSA code: 001846.

The Catholic Connection Scholarship provides a 60 percent tuition discount for students who are Catholics. Students can apply as part of their standard admissions process by indicating their faith. Some additional documentation, such as a letter from their parish priest or a certificate of baptism, may be required, according to the news release.
