A FITNESS influencer shot during an attempted robbery at his home has died.
Miguel Aguilar, 43, was shot several times after four men approached outside his home, located in the plush neighborhood of Bel Air, Los Angeles.
Cops said the armed suspects confronted Aguilar and his wife, Priscilla, in their driveway in September.
Aguilar, the CEO of Self Made Training Facility, was left in a critical condition following the shooting.
"Miguel was more than just a leader; he was a visionary, an inspiration, a mentor, a father, a husband, and a dear friend to many."
Fitness influencer Aguilar revolutionized the personal training industry, the statement continued.
"His passion for the fitness industry and entrepreneurial spirit have left an enduring legacy," it said.
Los Angeles cops said the armed men demanded property from Aguilar.
The exact demands remain unknown, but TMZ reported at the time the men tried to nab Aguilar's Rolex watch.
The outlet also claimed the men followed Aguilar to his home before an altercation unfolded outside the property.
Aguilar was also said to be armed at the time but didn't fire any shots.
One of the four suspects, Mario Melara, died, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney.
The other three suspects were arrested in northern California on October 10.
They have been identified as Jason Malera, Daymonee Johnson, and Mahki Taylor.
All three were charged with suspicion of murder, a count of second-degree robbery, and one count of shooting at an occupied motor vehicle.
They were also charged with attempted second-degree robbery and two counts of assault with a semiautomatic gun.
Taylor was also hit with an attempted murder charge.
Cops warned at the time the trio could face life in prison if convicted.
George Gascon, the Los Angeles District Attorney General at the time, described the attack as "brazen."
"This brazen attack is a grim reminder of the dangers posed by follow-home robberies, a disturbing trend that we are committed to cracking down on with the full force of the law," he said.
"No one should fear for their safety simply by returning home, and we will not tolerate this kind of violence in our community."
Aguilar's gym franchise has more than 25 outlets across the US.
And the dad of two boasted more than 50,000 followers on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Priscilla, a celebrity extensionist in Los Angeles, has not yet commented on her husband's death.
Days before the attack, Aguilar shared a montage where he paid tribute to his wife.
In a touching tribute, he described her as his number-one cheerleader.
