If you're tired of hearing your parents constant nagging about your future after college, or maybe you're preparing to graduate and thinking about that first real-world work adventure, this recent job posting might just do the trick for you.
An iconic brand is looking for team members to showcase their even more iconic mobile billboard.
If you've ever wished you were an Oscar Mayer weiner, here's your big chance.
The Oscar Mayer company is now accepting applications from recent college graduates for their 'Hotdogger' position, which is responsible for traveling the country in a 27-foot hot dog on wheels.
Believe it or not, of the thousands of applicants, Oscar Mayer shares that less than 1% are selected, and candidates that stand out typically have strong communication skills and education backgrounds in PR, marketing and communications.
Once selected, drivers attend an intense training titled 'Hot Dog High' where they learn the ins and outs of 'hotdogging,' the product, and of course how to drive the trademark Weinermobile. The 1-year-assignment starts at the end of June, with travel around the country being the face of a multi-billion-dollar company.
Though the Weinermobile was first introduced back in 1936, the Hotdogger program dates back to 1988, and annually hires a total of 12 'doggers.' These official brand ambassadors, in addition to driving, make hundreds of Weinermobile appearances across the country, representing Oscar Mayer at special events, and handing out the highly coveted Weiner Whistles.
Applications are now open and though official title on the Careers page does say Oscar Mayer Weinermobile Spokesperson, you know you're applying for that Hotdogger role. In order to be considered for a spot for the 38th class of Hotdoggers, candidates must submit application materials by January 31st.
