It's looking pretty good for fans of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Releases in the new year will include "a look back at Springsteen's storied recording career, featuring never-before-heard material," according to Springsteen's rep, Shore Fire Media.
Fans have speculated about a sequel to 1998's "Tracks" -- which included outtakes, B-sides, alternate versions and demos -- for decades. The wording of the release Wednesday, Dec. 18, suggests something "Tracks"-ish, so well see.
The release also refers to "releases" in plural, so that implies there's more to come beyond the "look back."

"2025 will find Springsteen returning to Europe to perform 16 shows in six countries with the E Street Band," states Wednesday's release. "He'll also continue his involvement in the upcoming biopic 'Deliver Me from Nowhere,' which stars Jeremy Allen White as Springsteen and is currently filming on the Jersey Shore.
"Springsteen's 'Born to Run' will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year," the release continued, "in addition to milestones for 'The River,' 'The Ghost of Tom Joad' and 'Devils & Dust.' "
If you were in Asbury Park last week, you know how involved Springsteen, 75, is with the "Deliver Me from Nowhere" shoot. The Boss visited the set each day.
A shoot in downtown Freehold was postponed twice due to rain and a medical issue with a crew member. Sources familiar with the production schedule said the Freehold scene should be shot in January.
