One dead, one injured after single-car crash in Bradford County

TUSCARORA TWP, Pa. (WETM) -- One woman is dead and another sustained serious injuries after a crash in Bradford County Sunday afternoon, according to a release from Pennsylvania State Police.

A 45-year-old woman is dead and a 20-year-old woman is injured after a crash on route 6 in Tuscarora Township around 4:46 p.m. on Sunday, Dec 22, troopers said in a report.

The crash happened near the intersection of route 6 and Kings Ridge Lane with troopers learning that the 20-year-old driver was moving west when she lost control and hit an embankment off the road.

The driver of the car suffered a severe head injury while the passenger was declared dead at the scene, both people were wearing seatbelts, state police said.

The driver was transported to Geisinger Hospital in Wilkes-Barre for further treatment.
