After wrapping up her Eras Tour last weekend, Taylor Swift is taking some time out of the public eye.
Today, her boyfriend Travis Kelce's team the Kansas Chiefs played the Cleveland Browns, but Swift was not in attendance at Huntington Bank Field in Ohio. Notably, Swift has been to five Chiefs games this season, and they've all been in Kansas City.
As a source previously told Page Six source back in October, "If she is going to a place that isn't Arrowhead, there are security concerns. She has worked with Arrowhead so many times, they feel at ease and comfortable. Going to all kinds of different stadiums, you need to send a team in advance." Stadium security confirmed Swift would be skipping shortly before kickoff, according to Cleveland Associated Press sports writer Tom Withers.
On Friday, Swift privately celebrated her 35th birthday in Kansas City. A local baker, Cami Sanromani, shared she had made the pop star's birthday cake:
"Obviously, it was the thrill of a lifetime, being able to do the birthday cake of arguably one of the most famous people in the world," Sanromani told the Kansas City Star. "It's a pretty cool deal. And I'm just like a regular lady, I'm not some famous bakery, I'm just a mom, I'm just a small-business owner."
Last week, Swift was pictured visiting with Children's Mercy Hospital in the Kansas City visiting with patients and nurses. "Children's Mercy Hospital does their best to nurse seriously ill children, comfort family, and bring a little joy when they can. Today did not disappoint! Thank you Taylor Swift for bringing some joy to Rylie today!!" one woman posted on Facebook about her daughter, Rylie, adding, "Great way to bring a smile and make a memory!"
Fans can hopefully expect Swift in attendance at upcoming at Chiefs games. They play again next Saturday, December 21, in Kansas City against the Houston Texans, and again on Christmas Day. For last year's Christmas Day game, Swift wore a Santa hat with 87 (Kelce's number) on the brim, and a cozy Ralph Lauren cashmere sweater.
