TVLine Items: Severance Now on Roku, Twisted Love TV Adaptation and More

Ahead of the acclaimed Apple TV+ drama's (lonnnng-awaited) return, Severance Season 1 is now available to watch for free on the Roku Channel, for a limited time (until Sunday, Jan. 19).

Roku is also offering a "Fan Experience" that includes a free preview of Severance Season 2, behind-the-scenes content, an exclusive cast interview and more. And or a limited time (through Feb. 3), new subscribers can also redeem three months of Apple TV+ free.

The Fan Experience elements will be accessible directly from the Home Screen Menu on supported Roku devices.

* Netflix has optioned the rights to a potential TV series adaptation of Ana Huang's "Twisted" novels -- Twisted Love and sequels Twisted Games, Twisted Hate and Twisted Lies -- according to Variety. The project, which has not yet received a formal series order, follows "four best friends and their brooding love interests, riddled with dark secrets from their pasts, as they overcome the obstacles keeping them apart to fall in love," per the official logline.

* Ken Burns' The American Revolution, a 12-hour documentary series chronicling America's fight for independence, will premiere Sunday, Nov. 16, at 8/7c on PBS and air for six consecutive nights.

* Apple TV+ has released a trailer for the eight-part sports documentary Onside: Major League Soccer (premiering Friday, Feb. 21), giving fans unprecedented access to the pro soccer league's players, coaches and clubs:
